This weekend marks the start of the Patrol Season at Eimeo with the "red and yellow" back on the beach. Come on down and see the guys on Sunday. They would love to see you. Hopefully this wind drops off soon!
There is no nippers this week but it will return on the 24 September at 8.45am.
We have our first carnival this weekend up on Magnetic Island. It is great to see so many kids going up to compete. This carnival is one of our favourites due to the beautiful location and atmosphere. We will share photos on the Clubs Eimeo Nippers Facebook group.

- If you are Bluecard Exempt - Police or Teachers you are required to hold the new Blue Card that has your photo on it. This card can be linked at: Surf Life Saving Queensland - Linking Blue Card Services Online Account and Valid Blue Card Survey (surveymonkey.com)
- If you do not have a Bluecard - apply at: Blue Card Services Applicant Portal
- Once you have applied - put your application number into this form: Surf Life Saving Queensland - Linking Blue Card Services Online Account and Valid Blue Card Survey (surveymonkey.com)

EIMEO'S OKTOBERFEST NEEDS YOU! VOLUNTEER HERE
Oktoberfest launched last week and we have already gone through 250 tickets!
Oktoberfest at Eimeo Beach on Sunday 1st October is one of our club's biggest fund raising events of the year.
To run this event it takes a lots of volunteers. This is your chance to get involved in our community and help the club raise the funds it needs to run nippers and keep our beach safe.
We need help with setting up, food and bar services, ticket collection, packing down and lots of other smaller jobs. No experience needed just a willing attitude to have some fun and join in. On the Sunday we will need your help from 10am through 6.30pm. You can help all day or just for a few hours. There are also a number of pre-event jobs that need doing - if you are interested we would love your help here as well.
All volunteers will be welcome at our volunteer after party from 6.30pm at the club to watch the Grand Final and have a bbq dinner (hopefully with German food leftover!
Colleen Harris, our Secretary is our volunteer coordinator. You can sign up at: https://www.trybooking.com/CLQWN or if you would like to email her at secretary@eimeoslsc.com.au she will be able to answer any questions.

PROFICIENCIES
eLearning has your Bronze or Surf Rescue Certificate Proficiency open and ready to be completed. Go to your Members Portal and access. This needs to be completed prior to the Skills Component.
IRB Proficiency is open for bookings on the 17/09 in the afternoon at Mackay harbour. Please make sure you book your attendance through your eLearning so Mick knows how many people to expect.
MARINE STINGER ELEARNING
All 16+ members need to get this completed. SLSQ are expecting our members have this finished by December this year. A lot of our members have not started this course and we need to get it locked away as a priority.
Training Courses
Bronze and Surf Rescue Course - Without patrolling members we do not have a surf club or the ability to offer junior activities. We ask you this season to think about doing this training. A Surf Rescue Certificate allows you to assist with water safety at nippers and carnivals.
Eimeo Surf Life Saving Club will be running a Bronze and SRC course from 23 September on Nipper Sundays. If you are interested, email training@eimeoslsc.com.au
CONGRATS!
Congratulations to all our club members who have been kicking goals in activities outside of lifesaving. Let us know about your kids successes so that we can help celebrate their success - send a photo and a brief summary to administrator@eimeoslsc.com.au
